Andy McKee and Don Ross have been friends for many years, and musical collaborators for just as long. Andy opened for a series of Don's shows, and taught at his Guitar Weekend several times and then suddenly, in 2006, one of Andy's videos went viral on YouTube just a few days before Christmas. His world and the world of solo guitar have never been the same since.
Andy and Don have recorded one collaborative CD, "the thing that came from somewhere," and released it in 2008. Both have international touring careers and Don is also a renowned music educator.
This show sees Don and Andy perform together in Halifax for the first time since 2008, this time in the beautiful surroundings of St Matthew's United Church right downtown. It promises to be a great night of music for guitar duet, solo guitar and a bit of vocal stuff too!
