The Idaho City Amphitheater is located behind the Idaho City rodeo grounds on Highway 21, approximately 1/2 mile past the turn for Main Street. Blankets and low-back chairs are welcome.
About the show: "We want to see what it is like to have a concert in Idaho City," Jewell says. "Will people come up from the valley? Will locals be excited and support live music in the community? Hopefully the answer is yes. The goals for us are to learn from the experience and get people excited about concerts up there. If that happens, then one day in the future, we can host a music festival on my family land in Idaho City."
About Eilen Jewell: Crafting a unique style that mixes poetic ballads with swinging rockers, Eilen Jewell ranks among the best in the Americana genre today. As the reigning Queen of the Minor Key, Jewell leads a tight quartet who blend influences of surf noir, early blues, rockabilly, and 1960s-era rock and roll.
Over the course of a decade, Eilen and her band have toured relentlessly. They have performed for legions of fans from Boston to Boise and Madrid to Melbourne at festivals, theaters, rock clubs and coffeehouses. Eilen's fans marvel at her warmth, unique wit, and onstage humor alongside her beautiful songs and fiery performances. Jewell's fifth studio album, Sundown Over Ghost Town, was released in May of 2015 (Signature Sounds). The album was recorded with Eilen's longtime road band in her hometown of Boise, and is composed of twelve stunning, original compositions that feature some of her most personal stories yet. http://www.eilenjewell.com
About Andrew Sheppard: Andrew Sheppard grew up in the high desert plains of Hailey, Idaho. He spent the last decade in Los Angeles and has since been hanging his hat in Ketchum, Idaho, when he's not touring. Former frontman of the Gypsy River Haunts, Sheppard is making a name for himself as a solo-artist and bandleader. Looking to explore new sounds and develop his own style, Sheppard now finds himself surrounded by a talented backing band of like minded musicians. His music has been described as a cockeyed medley of soulful Country, honest Rock 'N' Roll, with an outlaw mentality. Andrew has just released his debut full length album "Far From Here," available everywhere online or at live shows. No matter how his music hits you, it'll give you a glimpse of where you've been and where you're going. Andrew Sheppard- A straight shot of life. http://www.andrewsheppardmusic.com
