New Orleans Night at Cafe 290 with the Swamp Donkeys
The New Orleans Swamp Donkeys Traditional Jass Band is on an absolute tear in 2016. In April they dominated the Battle of the Bands in front of thousands (winning with the classic What a Wonderful World: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv0aS9zDvL0), and played for an adoring audience at JazzFest, again in the Economy Hall Tent. In May they sold out New York's Zinc Bar, and already in June they have performed in an off-broadway theatre biopic about Buddy Bolden in New York, with the band's trumpet impresario James Williams starring in the lead role as Buddy. This summer marks the bands fourth trip to perform European festivals in four years, but first they are playing at the legendary Cafe 290 in Atlanta, Georgia. Come on out for this one night only event!
This is EARLY NEW ORLEANS JAZZ. It's played the way it was played 100 - 120 years ago. And the whole world is falling in love!
Many fans first fell in love with the band when the Swamp Donkeys had a viral video two years ago, featuring their HOT JAZZ version of the theme song from Game of Thrones. HOLD THE DOOR and LISTEN TO THIS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itn8highTRo
