National Child Traumatic Stress Networks Child Welfare Trauma Toolkit 101 Training
This 2 day workshop features the National Child Traumatic Stress Network's Child Welfare Trauma Toolkit. The training is designed to teach basic knowledge, skills, and values about working with children and families involved in the child welfare system and who have experienced traumatic events. The toolkit provides strategies for using trauma-informed practices to enhance the Child and Family Services Review goals of safety, permanency, and well-being. This training also explores the 7 Essential Elements of a trauma-informed child welfare system through a culturally responsible and coordinated System of Care approach.
Audience: This training is open individuals that work in the child welfare system, schools, juvenile justice, foster / resource parents, community based providers, advocates, faith-based leaders, Guardian Ad Litem and anyone that works to support youth and families in the Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Piedmont Region (Cabarrus, Davidson, Rowan, Stanly and Union County).
