Country Night 2016
Join Bill Jones, April Moore & Ranch Party and Huckleberry Flint for an amazing evening of music under the stars at Dell'Arte's Amphitheater in Blue Lake. Doors open at 5:30pm. Show starts at 6:00. Kids under 12 are free!
Bill Jones has had many roles in life including team roper, ranch foreman for the former Tooby Ranch and Dean Witters Lone Pine Ranch and he is also a pretty good electrician and carpenter. He has always had a love for music and has been writing songs singing them for folks for the last couple of years. He's put together a fine country band with Damien Roomets on Dobro, Larry Fries on Bass, Mat Hanf on Drums and Tony Nester on Guitar. They will be performing at Peg House August 6th and at the Humboldt County Fair on August 25th.
April Moore and Ranch Party have been hitting up Humboldt with their originals and covers for a couple years now. They sweep the gamut from old country sounds to some of Nashville hits of today. Finally after strong demand they are producing their first studio CD due out late summer.
Huckleberry Flint is a name known fondly around Humboldt County. What began as a traditional string band in 2003 has blossomed into a dynamic group that incorporates many musical influences such as bluegrass, alt-country and rock. Huckleberry Flint still stays true to the folk song convention of rearragning traditional ballads and spirituals in a new, original way; blending old-timey lyrics and melodies with electric instruments and five-part harmonies. The result is a rich, full bodied sound that is truly their own.
