SubUrban Decay
BTC New Works presents a workshop production of an original rock musical: "SubUrban Decay".
The show runs Aug 3-4 2012 @ 8pm both nights.
About the show: Newlyweds Kara and Christian want to live the American dream, but what they find in the suburban sprawl of Copper Grove is a nightmare just waiting to happen. The show explores the effects of media, technology, and paranoia on the unsuspecting residents of a cul-de-sac brimming with madness...
Development began in February with the collaboration of writer and director Brian Michael Riley and composer / lyricist Christopher Cavaliere. Based on a story by Riley, the original book and songs are being custom written specifically for this cast of 13. Rehearsals consisting of scene and character building workshops began on April 1st.
Graphic designer Damon Testani and photographer Michelle Beaulieu join the production team to create the visual world of SubUrban Decay. Much of their work is to be featured in the show.
