Junior Farmers Camp 2016

Session l: July 11 - July 15
Session II: July 18 - July 22

NOTE: If the first 2 July sessions sell out, we will open signup for August 1- August 5.

Camp Hours: 9:00 am -12:00 pm
Extended Camp: 9:00 am -1:00 pm with farm harvest added to child's own lunch

Tuition:
$225 per one week session
$275 per one week session with extended lunch

Ages: 5-10 years old

Rockland Farm Alliances Junior Farmer Program introduces children to sustainable agriculture, healthy living and environmental stewardship through discovery, play and plenty of time getting their hands dirty working on the farm.

Our expert staff of farmers and education specialists will lead children through farming workshops, science experiments, planting and harvesting, crop sampling, bug hunts, beekeeping workshops, raw cooking activities, nature walks, arts and crafts, and highly interactive organic and biodynamic agriculture education.

At the end of the week, each Junior Farmer takes home their field journal, recipes, unique farming knowledge and a new perspective on where food comes from and how it gets to our tables.
