Getting Paid: Design Professional Liens and You
Attendees will learn how to prepare, serve and enforce design professional liens, as well as their use as an aid to informal resolution of payment disputes.
Learning Objectives
1.Attendees will learn how to prepare design professional liens, including preliminary notice requirements and required forms.
2. Attendees will learn how to properly serve design professional liens, including the rules for timely recordation and tools for tracking triggering dates.
3. Attendees will learn how to enforce design professional liens, including alternative theories of recovery.
4. Attendees will participate in an exploration of use of design professional liens to facilitate informal resolution of payment issues.
