Twerking Thursdays! A Twerkshop Series

We will go over twerk history, ontology, it's afro-diaspora siblings, and appreciation vs. appropriation while warming up (and cooling down) and familiarizing ourselves with dat ass and all of its muscles.

After warm up we'll go over basic pops, drops, TWists and jERKs. We will discover which movement best suits you.

Class two: overview and transitions will be emphasized.

Class three: advanced moves... handstands, walking, splits, etc.

Class four: Putting it all together with a number to TT the Artist's "Dat a Freak". Bmore represent!!

A member of Chocolate City Burlesque and Cabaret, Bunny has been performing burlesque since 2011 and has entertained audiences from Baltimore, to Hollywood to Negril, Jamaica. In 2013, she began familiarizing guests with their glutes through her twerk classes. A spike in awards and rewards came in 2014: Miss Cheesecake (Pin Up Perfection), Master of Assels (DC Burlypics), The Big Deal of the Day (Let's Make A Deal, LA, CA) and previously Most Dominant (Caribbean Burlesque Festival), and Queen of Crabs (Baltimore Beauty Pageant).

Bunny has been moving her booty around since she could walk. But honed her skills as a stripper in the early 2000s. She's taught classes previously in DC (Studio Holliday, Anacostia), Jamaica (Hedo II, Negril) and at private events around the DMV.
