Our first afternoon concert will feature the all male GRIEG CHORUS from Madison, and the STOUGHTON NORWEGIAN DANCERS. The Edvard Grieg Chorus takes its name from the famous Norwegian composer, many of whose compositions are included in their repertoire. The chorus was founded on January 26, 1925. Their program includes Norwegian, patriotic, spiritual, and Broadway music.
The STOUGHTON NORWEGIAN DANCERS is a group of Stoughton High School students who perform authentic Scandinavian dances. The group began in 1953 with their first appearance in the Syttende Mai parade. Today they share their talents all across the United States entertaining young and old and leaving an increased awareness of their Norwegian heritage.
