Also, be the first to hear exciting new choral works a commission from up- and-coming American composer James Tecuatl-Lee and a US premiere by Karin Rehnqvist. In March, revel in the poetic verse of Shakespeare, with works by Beach, Vaughan Williams, Mäntyjärvi, and Martin. In May, enjoy the words of poetry masters such as Blake, Tranströmer, and others in sumptuous choral settings by Tas, Sandström, and our own Will Raymer. In this concert, we will also celebrate composer Lou Harrisons 100th birthday with a performance of his Mass for St. Cecilias Day and a commission from composer Edward Schocker in collaboration with Thingamajigs.
