Alive! Reunion In Concert

OCA is pleased to present Alive! on our stage for the first time. This iconic all womens jazz quintet originated in the SF Bay Area in 1975, and held a unique and formative role in womens music and the jazz scene up until 1985. With infectious rhythms, stunning vocals, innovative arrangements and intelligent, heartfelt compositions, Alive! received an enthusiastic reception in the international jazz community with both live performances at festivals and clubs and four recordings: Alive!, Call It Jazz, City Life, and Always Alive!
Original members include Keeper of the Beat Barbara Borden on drums and percussion, Carolyn Brandy (congas and percussion), Suzanne DiVincenzo on acoustic bass and cello, and fabled vocal artist Rhiannon on vocals and percussion.
