"The Art of the Sound Jam" an ALL LEVEL improv one-off class with Stephen Eldredge
Tuesday, August 30 from 6:30-8:30pm at The Pilates Studio of Hadley (104 Russel Street, Hadley MA 01035)
PRE-REQUISITES: None!
Group jamming builds on the essential improv skills of active listening, call and response, and creating space for your partners. We'll build musical improvisation jamming skills (which is different than making up funny songs to a piano accompaniment) based on Viola Spolins technique of group agreement. Expand your improv skills beyond scenework to strengthen all sorts of joyous muscles with Stephen's one-off. Prerequisite for this workshop: A willingness to LISTEN.
Stephen Eldredge IS the theater department at Northampton High School. He's been studying improvisation and performing theater for decades. Stephen is also a Zenster!
