MEN ALWAYS LEAVE and THE TRADITIONALISTS
MEN ALWAYS LEAVE by Naima Ince: Men Always Leave is a one-act play that revolves around an African American Family set in New York City. As a family, each character transitions through self-discovery and the highs and lows of complex relationships. The main character, Maya, struggles with letting go of the abandonment and pain of her father which blocks her from developing the kind of relationship she desires with her sons father.
THE TRADITIONALISTS by Carol Torian: The Traditionalists is a one-act play in which Tenille and Nicholas Wallace appear to be the perfect couple, but behind closed doors, they are caught in a dangerous cycle of violence and contrition. Every day is like walking through a minefield for Tenille, and her only objective is survival. *Note: This play contains adult language and situations, and is intended for mature audiences. The production will appeal to people who are interested in seeing difficult social issues addressed through theater.
