LKAA Day of Caring Born Learning Trail Refresh
The Leadership Kitsap Alumni Association is partnering with the United Way of Kitsap County Day of Caring to refresh a past Leadership Kitsap community project.
The Born Learning Trail at Naval Avenue Elementary School was a 2009 Leadership Kitsap community project. The team built the trail on the track at the Naval Avenue Early Learning Center, which consists of interactive activities for children, youth, and adults posted on signs around the track. We will be installing new Spanish version trail signs and manicuring the trail.
The Day of Caring is a great way to lend a hand in our community. The event will kick off at the Kitsap Sun Pavillion at 7:30 AM on Friday June 24th, with a breakfast generously provided by the Bremerton Fred Meyer. There, you can also pick up your Leadership Kitsap t-shirt and sack lunch before heading out to our project site at Naval Avenue Elementary School.
