Conversation - gateway to life enhancement
In the very beginning was conversation. This set the human species apart from all other life forms. The word is everything.
Having conversations is perhaps the most important thing we ever do in our lives. It is the way we interact with one another, how we define ourselves and how we progress through life. Indeed it is at the core to our contribution to society and ultimately what we personally get out of life. Despite the profound nature of conversation and associated gesturing it is hardly addressed in our education system.
Dr Nick Heap an authority in the art of conversation - will discuss its very essence and also take it to the next level and explore Eye-Opening Conversations. These can be quite simple to execute but can be incredibly powerful. These can help us be happier, more confident and more connected. They can even build closeness and deepen relationships at both personal and professional levels. Needless to say they can be pivotal in helping to resolve conflict.
Dr Nick Heap was initially a research chemist with ICI. Later, through his own initiative, he became an internal organisation development consultant, also with ICI. He has been an independent facilitator of change and development since 1982, working with a wide range of organisations and individuals in the public and private sectors. He has been a Samaritan and a Marriage Counselor. He advocates that we can solve all our problems, worldwide, if we listen to each other and that listening is the most valuable and undervalued social skill.
Nick has published many developmental tools and articles on www.nickheap.co.uk free for anyone to access and use.
