A Natural Alignment: Creativity & Cellulose a lecture by Bloedel Reserves Resident Artist, Joyce Utting Schutter
Join Bloedel Reserve's resident artist, Joyce Utting Schutter, as she explores the topic of cellulose as a medium for her art. "Cellulose is the most abundant organic polymer on earth. We eat it, wear it, write on it, and build with it. I am fascinated by cellulose, and its natural properties, and I use and celebrate them in my work," said Schutter. Using word and image, Schutter will show how its natural physical properties have inspired and informed the development of her unique sculptural process.
