The Chuck Lamb Quartet w/ Special Guest Petia Kassarova
The Chuck Lamb Quartet is Chucks most recent project. His LIVE! Music Series performance will highlight music from their recently recorded album 'North by Northeast'. The nights selections will feature new compositions as well as musical inspirations of his recent time in Russia, Japan, Singapore and Switzerland. The quartet has a strong line up including: Drummer / Percussionist - Steve Holloway (Riverdance, Solace). Steve is a master of Celtic percussion and will be playing many percussive instruments including the Irish frame drum, The Bodhran; Bassist Scott Petito (The Band, Bela Fleck); Saxophone / Flute - Jeff Nania (The Chronicles, The Dylan Perillo Orchestra); and Guest Performer on Cello - Petia Kassarova, a cellist with the Grammy winning Albany Symphony Orchestra.
Chuck and Petia met as part of a musical collaboration when they created a recording for the 2015 Electric City Couture : Makers Movement in America Runway Show at Universal Preservation Hall. Since then, they have been looking for the right opportunity to continue to collaborate. Segments of the work produced for that event will also be showcased on October 1.
This special show will be celebrated with an appearance from 'Steinway and Sons' in the form of a full concert piano. Overall, a not to be missed, one-of-a-kind moment in regional jazz history!
This years series is sponsored majorly by the Law Offices of Ianniello Anderson, P.C. Show headline sponsors include Adirondack Studios, COOL Insuring Agency, Inc. and Mangino Buick / GMC.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the ongoing restoration and remodeling efforts for Universal Preservation Hall.
Promotional support and production assistance for this series is being provided by PROCTORS. The LIVE! Music Series is a 2440 DESIGN STUDIO production.
