What Makes an Enterprising Place? - TEST EVENT ONLY!
On Wednesday 20 April at Drygate, the micro brewery in Glasgow, the Can Do Places group is organising a very different event. Not a conference, not a workshop but a mash up! Its called Place Matters - What Makes an Enterprising Place? This event, or mashup, is bringing together people that care about making their place enterprising. Can Do Places is a co-op dedicated to transforming their area to help more people make their own work in buildings that are redundant.
Did you know that for every £1 turnover a small business creates it goes round the local economy 4 times?
Did you know that there a more people working for themselves in the UK than ever before?
Did you know that loneliness is one of the biggest causes of people giving up their business or failing to grow?
We have brought great speakers covering all the ingredients of making enterprising places together in one Can Do Space. People from business, communities, voluntary and public sector all focussing on one thing - unblocking our enterprise arteries and getting things done. We would love your input. There is a small charge of £45 for the day to cover speakers and catering. By the end of the day we want to create an action plan for Can Do Places across Scotland. We have already done a lot but we want to do more.
If you would like to take part or find out more please check candoplaces.org for more info about us.
