An Evening with 4 Stories High & Sisiter See
Sister See and 4 Stories High in Concert at the Havurah, Thursday, July 19, 7:30 PM.
On Thursday, July 19 at 7:30 PM the Havurah will host a concert of two singer/songwriter/musician duos; Stefan and Cyrise Schachter of Sister See and Portland-based Laura Berman and Craig Benelli of 4 Stories High.
The Folk/Pop duo, 4 Stories High, got their start in the NYC singer/songwriter scene, with Laura Berman as a singer/songwriter herself, as well as a session vocalist, and Craig Benelli as a guitarist working with Laura and other singer/songwriters, and touring with the Broadway musical RENT. Now west-coasters residing in Portland, Oregon, they tour nationwide supporting their first CD release, DETOUR. In early 2012, they penned the theme song for a medical reality TV series, Top Docs, which airs in Houston and Dallas. 4 Stories High is currently writing and recording their second CD release. To learn more about them and hear their music, visit: www.4StoriesHigh.com. Sister See began in 2009 when Stefan and Cyrise bought a cheap nylon string guitar and boarded a ferry to the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. The next thing they knew, they were knee deep in love songs. Sister See's music fuses the playful poetry of Cyrise's voice with Stefan's funky acoustic guitar musings. Their alchemy is contagious and audiences often find themselves singing along. Sister See is based in Ashland, OR, where they are currently producing their first CD.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and are available at Music Coop on Main St. in Ashland, as well as online at www.brownpapertickets.com. The Havurah is located at 185 N. Mountain Ave. in Ashland. Call 541-488-7716 for more info. Doors open at 7:00 PM. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Havurah.
