Event
Conjunto Los Pochos
Energetic L.A. expressions of Tex-Mex dance music are driven by the sound of the accordion in polkas, waltzes, and cumbias by Conjunto Los Pochos, a four-piece ensemble led by Otoño Luján. Whether singing in English or in Spanish, their music transcends language. By the end of the night, you may feel like you've somehow traveled the border from Texas to California in the matter of hours, without having left the dance floor. ¡Ajua!
Also performing this evening will be the Plaza de la Raza Youth Latin Jazz & Salsa Band: Melodic and harmonic music characterized by fast tempos, drum beats, and improvisation by Plaza students led by Matt Amper.
