People's Kitchen Collective Diaspora Dinner feat. The Groundnut
ABOUT THE DINNER:
The People's Kitchen Collective is inviting The Groundnut chefs to join us in the kitchen to co-create a menu of our favorite dishes from the African diaspora for a special pop-up dinner at the Alena artist studios in West Oakland.
In true PKC form, diners will be seated at long family style tables and the menu will all be served and shared family style. The multi-course menu will be a collaboration between the chefs of the People's Kitchen Collective and The Groundnut. Expect a meal that fills your stomach, feeds your mind and nourishes your soul. The night is going to be filled with music and celebration and a whole lot of creativity coming out of our kitchen collaboration! This is a BYOB event, so feel free to bring your own drinks to pair with our flavorful meal.
Reservations are set at a Sliding Scale of $20- $100, with a suggested price of $50. Dinner from 7-9pm, after party 9-11pm

ABOUT US:
The People's Kitchen Collective (PKC) works at the intersection of art and activism as a food-centered political education project and cooperative business. Based in Oakland, California, our creative practices reflect the diverse histories and background of collective members Sita Kuratomi Bhaumik, Jocelyn Jackson, and Saqib Keval. Written in our family's recipes are the maps of our migrations and the stories of our resilience. It is from this foundation that we create immersive experiences that celebrate centuries of shared struggle.
See you at dinner!
