Voices From the Heart Concert

What has 200 singing women, a brass quintet, African dance, Stevie Wonder, giant puppets, Bollywood dancing, Beethoven and, of course, a few Big Surprises?! You guessed it! Voices from the Heart at Twenty!

Voices will celebrate turning 20 with a pull-out-all-the-stops concert on June 4th, at 4:30 and 8:00 p.m. at South Church in Portsmouth. Don't miss this opportunity, says Director Joanne Connolly, like Mercury crossing the face of the sun, this special Concert Extravaganza only comes around a few times each century! We look back on our most favorite musical pieces, we look to our newly commissioned music, a special Beethoven piece arranged just for this concert for 200 women's voices and brass quintet. We have two choreographed dances. We bring in our favorite instrumentalists from the past Matt Jenson, Randy Armstrong, Winston Maccow and David Rivera......and bring in new faces, Namory Keita from West Africa and the UNH faculty brass quintet directed by Robert Stibler. We celebrate the future as we announce our 2018 trip to South Africa with South African music, dance and drumming!

Come celebrate when Voices turns 20 on Saturday, June 4 at 4:30 and 8:00. Tickets for this very special show are $18.00 purchased ahead and $21.00 on the day of the show. Some tickets are also available at Puttin' on the Glitz in downtown Portsmouth, NH.
