Bastard Assignments - NEW TEETH - Asylum
Bastard Assignments bite into the best of experimental music and interdisciplinary performance with NEW TEETH. This 2016/17 season of four events in unique venues across London will bring some of the most exciting and innovative performances in Europe to London, with intriguing guest artists - both well known and emerging - appearing alongside new work by resident composers Timothy Cape, Edward Henderson, Caitlin Rowley and Josh Spear.
NEW TEETH continues the Bastard Assignments tradition of locating performances in atmospheric sites - this season sees events in a bombed-out church, a nineteenth-century construction access shaft, a basement art gallery and a converted former print works building. These unusual venues contribute a trademark aspect of the immersive, thought-provoking and often humorous events for which Bastard Assignments are known. Combining multiple artforms and media, these performances challenge ideas of what a concert might be.
The four NEW TEETH events are supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and by PRS for Music Foundation.
June's event features guests artists and performers including Alwynne Pritchard, Lawrence Dunn, Mainly Two, Neil Luck, and Trond Reinholdtsen.
