Nordo Music: Spyrographs + Two Horses Too Many
Spring into early summer with the Spyrographs and Two Horses Too Many at Nordos Culinarium in beautiful & breezy Pioneer Square! These two sunny 60s-inspired bands will install themselves on the groovy vintage Boeing Stratocruiser lounge set of Cafe Nordos current hit To Savor Tomorrow for an early evening of jazz-pop and cinematic songs.
Our 60s air-travel-themed front bar The Aviation Lounge will be open for happy hour and small bites beginning at 4pm, and the live music begins at 7pm. Craft cocktails, local beers and wines are available all night, and back by poplular demand: short-order mac & cheese created at the bar by our chefs Erin Brindley and Mark Wissing will be available to buy during the performances!
THE BANDS:
The Spyrographs are a tight five piece that plays spy, pop and surf hits of the 1960s. Think James Bond soundtracks, the go-go hits of Nancy Sinatra, and the classic surf of The Ventures. Featuring Cheryl Serio on vocals, Chip Doring on guitar, Dayton Alleman on keys, Craig Corvin on bass, and Troy Lund on drums. http://thespyrographs.com/ https://www.facebook.com/TheSpyrographs/
Two Horses Too Many was the house band for Café Nordos first Pioneer Square production, Smoked. The band was compelled to continue after the show closed, attracting new members and writing songs in the great Spaghetti Western tradition. We feature Annastasia Workman on piano and accordion, Evan Mosher on vocals and trumpet, Matt Manges on skins & tubs, Dayton Allemann on guitar and flute, Ivan Molton on bass and sax, and Craig Corvin on guitar and whatever else he can get his hands on. Our stage show is bathed in the cinematic glow of wide-screen projections. https://twohorsestoomany.com/ https://www.facebook.com/twohorsestoomany/
This is the first in a brand-new series of monthly Wednesday night live music evenings at Nordos Culinarium. Every month two musical acts will be invited to pair their music with the world currently inhabiting Nordos mainstage at the Culinarium. The performances will be curated to thematically connect and resonate with each of Cafe Nordos diverse mainstage projects.
