Shari Ulrich at the Castle Theatre
Originally a California girl, Shari's 40 year career from Pied Pumkin (a favourite in the Kootenays), through The Hometown Band, and on as a solo artist and multi-instrumentalist has lead to 23 albums including her collaboration with UHF Bill Henderson and Roy Forbes in (UHF), Barney Bentall & Tom Taylor (BTU), and The High Bar Gang, a 7 piece bluegrass band with Barney Bentall & Colin Nairne. Her work has garnered 2 Juno awards, an induction into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame, and a 2014 CFMA for English Songwriter of the Year.
The Old Castle Theatre is one of Sharis favourite venues and she is very happy to be able to return with her solo show which will include a selection of songs from 1976 to new unreleased songs. She will be performing on piano, guitar, mandolin & violin with her signature spontaneity, warmth and sense of humour and a few new tricks up her sleeve!
