The culminating work, Benjamin Yarmolinksys oratorio The Constitution, which concludes both the concert and ArtsFest 2016, presents words hewn by our nations founders and leaders in their attempts to construct the best society on which they could agree. After singing several Amendments of interest, DePauw Pre-Law students will present reflections on the Amendments utopian successes and on unintended, dystopian consequences. Also included on the program will be choral offerings from sacred and secular traditions including Corsican polyphony, a Brahms motet, and settings of poems by Yeats.
