DePauw University Band

A wonderful mixture of styles and eras will be featured on the DePauw University Band's first concert of the season, including Mark Camphouses touching tribute to Rosa Parks and her courageous stand against injustice: A Movement for Rosa; British composer Paul Harts Cartoon; an instrumental setting of Blessed Are They from Johannes Brahmss groundbreaking choral masterpiece, Ein deutsches Requiem; Eric Whitacres setting of his own choral work, The Seal Lullaby; and John Philip Sousas spectacular concert march, The Glory of the Yankee Navy. The program concludes with the breathtaking Danzón No. 2 by Arturo Márquez.
Audience members are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation to the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. Bring an item to the Green Center box office and receive a complimentary ticket to the concert!
General admission: $5 Tickets for seniors, youth and all students are free.
