BOTF16-03: SDFF Best of the Fest "Ghost Town" with "Ron Taylor"
What better way to celebrate summertime (and the All-Star Break) than with a pair of excellent baseball documentaries, featuring our 2016 Audience Award winning feature documentary!
Gene Corrs inspiring Ghost Town to Havana tells the story of two youth baseball teams: one in Cuba, the other in Oakland. The screening of this film at SDFF filled the SCA Brent Auditorium and moved the audience such that they passed the proverbial hat, donating nearly $1,000 to the Oakland baseball coach whose team is the subject of the film.
This is preceded by the fun short doc Ron Taylor: Dr. Baseball which profiles the journey of a multiple World Series winning pitcher who goes on to become a physician. Packed with major league memories, you wont want to miss this!
