2016 BEC/COTE June Session
Date/Time: Friday, June 3 from 11:30 am - 1 pm Location: Piedmont Natural Gas Headquarters Cost: $25 per person (1 AIA LU|HSW)
Building performance and operations costs have become primary concerns for building owners. Architecture and building systems are now driven by this need for performance, balanced with aesthetic, function, and cost. Energy modeling has emerged as the most cost effective methodology to evaluate architectural decisions and the effects on building performance. In this learning session, we will use case studies to show how energy modeling is used to evaluate massing, orientation, enclosure system performance, fenestration, and other factors. We will also look at specific tools and how they are used for early phase energy modeling, as well as code implications
