Fiscal Sponsorship for Community Organizations
This training will explain what a fiscal sponsorship relationship is and what you can accomplish with a fiscal sponsorship relationship.
You will learn about:
- Why a nonprofit organization would enter into a fiscal sponsorship relationship.
- The advantages and disadvantages of a fiscal sponsorship structure.
- Fiscal sponsorship agreements and how it should be structured to accomplish your goals.
- Common pitfalls and misunderstandings of fiscal sponsorship agreements.
Panelists will share their experiences as fiscal sponsors, sponsored organizations, and talk about legal and practical tips on making a successful fiscal sponsorship relationship.
Speakers: Madhu Singh, The Foundry Law Group, Risho Sapana, Mother Africa, Mike Heinisch, Kent Youth and Family Services
Cost: $10, includes dinner.
Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm and the presentation will start at 6:00 pm and end at 8:00 pm.

This training is a partnership of The Nonprofit Assistance Center and Wayfind. Sarah Tran, Executive Director of NAC and Jodi Nishioka, Executive Director of Wayfind, will be at the training and available to talk about NAC and Wayfind services.
