Dinner at Floriole featuring Pasta Puttana
With the market in full swing and the evenings staying warm, summer dinners revolve around the produce at our fingertips and cooked in a way that won't heat the whole house.

Our favorite thing to make at home is Pasta Puttana's fresh pasta, quickly blanched and tossed with whatever looked good at the market that day. So we couldn't be happier that Jessica Volpe, head Puttana, will be joining us in our kitchen to make a delicious July Dinner at Floriole.

Sandra and Jessica met at Kitchen Chicago in 2008 when Pasta Puttana was first rolling pasta for a dedicated market stall and a handful of wholesale customers. Her mission is to share the experience of the convivial meals of her childhood, which were founded Sicilian home cooking & family. Throughout the last four years, that dinner experience has taken hold and Pasta Puttana has grown. Adding additional markets and wholsesale customers, Jessica has recently opened a retail storefront at 1407 W. Grand Ave where her flavored flat pastas are joined by a new line of filled and hand-formed pastas and a selection of other delicious ingredients just waiting to bring your family together.

Please join us for a summery, family inspired meal featuring Pasta Puttana's noodles and produce from Green City Market (and of course, finished with one of Sandra's desserts). All the makings for a perfect summer dinner, and you won't even have to turn on your oven!

roasted beet farfalle
with praire fruits farm mouton frais,
shaved summer squash, fresh corn
& fin herbs in vinaigrette

roasted peaches
in sabayon with semolina pasta cookie


all pasta handmade by jessica volpe in the pasta puttana kitchen
