Ensemble Music Society 2016-2017 Season features five exciting concerts that include traditional favorites by Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms in a mix with new works by Bolcom, Rihm, and Aho and some delightful works you may not know, but will soon love.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2016--THE MONTROSE TRIO Co-presented with the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Accomplished soloists and chamber musicians Jon Kimura Parker and two former members of the renowned Tokyo String Quartet Martin Beaver and Clive Greensmith join forces to offer a new piano trio that will showcase their impeccable playing and captivating performance style.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2016--JERUSALEM STRING QUARTET Formed over 20 years ago, the Jerusalem Quartet is returning to Indianapolis after the enthusiastic reception of their Indianapolis debut. Haydn's much loved "Lark" quartet, Quartet No. 1 by Prokofiev, and the first of Beethoven's " Razumovsky Quartets".

The quartet was founded by first violinist Irvine Arditti in 1974.
