IMA Mt. Rainier Chapter - May Gathering
On May 18, we are pleased to welcome Christine Donathan and Nick Coughran as our speakers. Christine is a Regional VP at Robert Half, where she has worked for over five years. Nick is a Staffing Executive and has been at Robert Half for two years, after owning and operating a small business. Together they have seen all angles of the hard work it takes to develop, train, and retain long term employees. Most of us have some history with Robert Half, either because weve used Robert Half or Accountemps to find us qualified candidates for an open position, they have placed us in a position in our career, or we remember the strong partnership that existed between Robert Half and IMA at the National level. It has been said that people dont quit jobs, they quit bosses. What is the secret to longevity in this new age of employee portability? How do managers attract and keep talented employees? What are employees looking for and what do they need in order to stay longer? Does age really matter? How important are pay and benefits? Is it all about appreciation and communication? Or something else? Christine and Nick will explore retention and staffing challenges that we are all facing, as managers, job seekers, or both.
In addition to this presentation, we will be introducing our chapter scholarship winners, our local CMA scholarship winners, and our incoming Board. Please join us for the final meeting before the summer break.
