Brian Kirk-Drummer: Brian spent ten years in New York City where he was a member of Lou Donaldson, Jack McDuff and Little Jimmy Scott bands. He also performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Bobby Hutcherson, Joe Locke, The Lionel Hampton Orchestra and The Count Basie Orchestra. Gregory Smith-Pianist: Not only is Greg Mercedes personal Pianist, he is also a staff accompanist & Graduate of Cornish College of the Arts. Experience playing for/in choirs, competitions, lessons, recording sessions, classes, orchestras, big bands, small ensembles, duos, jazz combos, rock groups, musical pits, baroque continuo, and more. Clipper Anderson-Bassist: Clippers musical resume is as impressive as it is deep. He has played with a long list of jazz greats including Michael Brecker, Arturo Sandoval, Dave Samuels, Peter Erskine, Bruce Forman, Tamir Hendelman, Bob Mintzer, Lew Soloff, Bucky Pizzarelli, Benny Golson, Paquito DRivera, Phil Woods and Buddy DeFranco. He is also the Bassist on Mercedes Nicoles New CD People Are Talking 2015. Which is getting air play all over the country.
Oscar Williams-Trumpet & Flugelhorn: Oscar is a professional jazz trumpet player who has worked with the late Ray Charles, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Barbara Streisand, and a host of other top name artists.
Julian Priester-Trombone: In the early 1950s Priester was a member of Sun Ra's big band, recording several albums with the group before leaving Chicago in 1956 to tour with Lionel Hampton. In 1958 he joined Dianah Washington. In 1959 he settled in New York and joined the band of drummer Max Roach who heard him playing on the Philly Joe Jones album, "Blues for Dracula".
More recently, while at the Schubert Theatre, Julian received an invitation to tour the Orient with the Duke Ellington Orchestra. It was a US State Department tour that included performances in the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Burma (Miramar), Laos, and Singapore.
