James Worthy- Financial Pathways of the Piedmont Annual Luncheon
Each year, Financial Pathways of the Piedmont convenes a luncheon for local and state elected officials, collaborative partners, supporters and friends in celebration of our efforts of providing professional consumer education and comprehensive financial and housing guidance to all members of the community.
Financial Pathways is pleased to have James Worthy, one of North Carolina's own, who has been a champion at every level of his basketball career. As a member of the 1982 Carolina Tar Heels, he led the team to an NCAA championship and was named the tournaments Most Outstanding Player. Taken first in the 1982 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, Worthy went on to win three NBA championships and was named the MVP of the 1988 NBA Finals. Voted an All Star seven times, Worthy has the honor of having been named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. We hope you can help us welcome James back to his native North Carolina and hear his inspiring stories.
