Drama Camp

If you are interested in acting or the stage...this is for you! The Plaza Playhouse Theater in Carpinteria is pleased to offer a two week Drama Camp for young actors, Grades 3 to 12.

Camp runs Monday through Friday, from 3 pm to 6 pm, starting on July 5th and running through July 15th, culminating with the production of "Pirates of the MaryAnne" (or "A Lass and a Treasured Trust").

This musical melodrama takes place on the deck of Mary Anne and has ghosts, pirates and a villain that receives his just deserts in the end.An orphaned lass finds love and treasure in this ghostly tale of intrigue and laughs.The unrepentant pirate becomes trapped in his/her own web of lies and deceit. A father's love reaches out from the grave to protect and provide for his daughter.

If acting is not your thing, perhaps Assistant Director, Prop Master, Sound of Light Designer or Costume Designer might be for you? We do it all!

Cost per person is $230.00 for the two week session.
