Astrology for Newbies: the Nuts and Bolts
Are you new to Astrology?
This is an interactive basic introductory mini-class to the nuts and bolts of the natal chart. We will review a history of astrology, discuss what is astrology, learn about the twelve houses, sign archetypes and the planets. This is a great class for those new to astrology or for those who want a review of the basic language. Students will be able to build a sentence using the language of astrology at the end of the 3-weeks. Students will receive a colour copy of their natal chart, handouts, an astrology map, bibliography, and discount to future classes at the Portland School of Astrology to get them started.
Jaysen Paulson is a Portland-based queer astrologer, herbalist and founder of the Portland School of Astrology. His work with Cosmophilia includes the marriage of astrology and herbal medicine with health and wellness, producing a line of Astrological Herbals, teas and sprays. JayPs work has been featured at astrology and plant medicine conferences, and the Portland Art Museum. He currently sees astrology clients in his Hollywood District office and is writing a book titled Plants & Planets: Herbal Medicine, Flower Essences and Astrology.
