Scotch Malt Whisky Society Tasting

As part of our focus on independent whiskey bottlers, The Barrel Thief has recently added Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) bottlings to our offerings. We've loved these ecclectic whiskies, all single casks, and all bottled at cask strength.

So we're quite pleased to host SMWS Brand Ambassador Phoebe Brookes at The Barrel Thief on Saturday, May 28th, as she guides us through a tasting of SMWS bottlings, and answers your questions about SMWS and a selection of whiskies we'll be sampling.

The event features several SMWS whiskies from our menu, and Phoebe is also bringing a very promising bottle with her, to share with you: SMWS's annual "Feis Ile" (Islay Festival) release, which won't be available outside of the UK in late May, except for the bottle she's graciously bringing with her. We're limiting this tasting to 15 guests so there's plenty of whisky to go around, and so you get a chance to chat with Phoebe. Tickets are required, and we suggest buying yours as soon as possible, since we expect this to sell out.
