Iloveyou Iloveyou Iloveyoutoo
Iloveyou Iloveyou Iloveyoutoo Written and Directed by Alan O'Hare, Life Story Theatre Saturday, June 11, at 7:00 PM
You are invited to journey with Edmund and Marion remembering... forgetting... remembering again... forgetting again... the gifts of love.
As the title suggests, this is a love story. The central moments of this play are when Marian and Edmund each speak the words "I love you" to one another in their unique ways, which is also reflective of how they each experience the world, and how they have learned to be loving. Marian sees and lives from her heart... Edmund sees and lives from his mind.
As Marian enters the world of Alzheimer's Disease, her language and manner challenge the balance they had as a couple. An early love of Marian's blurs the lines of this relationship, yet spirit triumphs in the ultimate recognition of what is.
Alan O'Hare is the founder and director of Life Story Theatre and currently teaches 'Storytelling and Healing' in the Lesley University Graduate Expressive Therapies program. This play grew out of his work as psychologist at an elder retirement/health-care community hearing the life stories of residents and developing them into a multi arts presentation.
