La CHANSON de FORTUNIO / MMF Studio Scenes Program
The MMF Opera Institutes Studio program presents this rare French gem of endearing comedy, the song of Fortunio, by Jules Offenbach. As a young clerk, Fortunio seduced the wife of his employer with the help of a particularly alluring song. Now as an old lawyer, he begins to suspect that his own young wife might be carrying on a clandestine affair with his young employee, Valentin. Mischief and carrying-ons are afoot, as they all happily reveal that Fortunios song has lost none of its efficacy.
MMF Opera Studio singers perform an intriguing program of opera and operetta dating from the inception of the art form to current works.
