The Drunkard is an old fashioned Melodrama presented with a sexy Steampunk flair. Audiences are encouraged to come in their best Steampunk attire, 'Boo & Hiss' the dastardly villain, 'Cheer' for the handsome hero, and 'Aw' the lovely heroine. Come be a part of the comedy, drama, music and frivolity.
The Drunkard was a story originally written by P.T. Barnum (Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus) as a way to show the evils of drinking. It was adapted to a play in 1844 by W.H. Smith and quickly became the most popular play in the United States at the time. It was the first of over 100 plays highlighting the Temperance Movement.
*Doors Open 30 minutes prior to Showtime.
*Steampunk attire is encouraged, but not mandatory.
