Open Space: Vashons Gathering Place
Janet McAlpin and David Godsey founded Open Space with the vision of providing a place where Vashon could gather in large numbers. Over the past eight years, Open Space has grown with the involvement and participation of everyone who walks through our doors. Rooted in the heart of the community we serve, Open Space is Vashons gathering place. Under our roof, island non-profits have raised over $2,000,000.
A Make-Over from the Inside-Out
It is time for a better, more comfortable Open Space. In late 2016, we will embark on a short and strategic renovation project, resulting in: 2 New Bathrooms with 14 New Toilets! A New Heating System & Insulation! A New 100 Seat Black-Box Theatre! 4 New Classroom & Meeting Room Spaces! Seismic Upgrades!
Let's make a more comfortable Open Space - and have a fabulous time doing it!
"I am a proud supporter of Open Space for Arts & Community. Their dream has come to life, and is about to grow even further. I urge you to join me in helping realize their vision of creating a facility that serves the entire Vashon community." - Dow Constantine, King County Executive
Join us for The Big O and help Ren-O-Vate Open Space!
