Emerald Ridge High School 2016 Spring Play
Called the best American childrens book of the past two hundred years by The Childrens Literature Association, E.B. Whites CHARLOTTES WEB comes to life on stage! Adapted for the stage with guidance from White, this version truly captures the spirit of the classic tale. All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be "a true friend and a good writer." This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship, sacrifice, optimism, and the power of words.
