May 2016 Vancouver Program: Discover and manage the hidden costs of unhealthy conflict in your workplace

Sunny S Gutierrez is the Associate Director of Community Mediation Services. Sunny began her alternative dispute resolution career in 1999. She joins CMS from Maui, Hawaii where she was in private mediation practice providing services to families and workplaces. She provided integrated conflict management services to organizations in Hawaii including the state hospital, a Hawaiian healthcare provider, the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Maui Humane Society, an HR employer staffing organization, small business partnerships and TSA. She lectured in communication and conflict resolution at University of Hawaii Maui College and Manoa-Outreach. Sunny has a Masters degree in Negotiation and Conflict Management from Cal State Dominguez Hills and is on the Board of Directors for the Association for Conflict Resolution.
Victoria Clevenger, MPH, is a Mediation Specialist and Coordinator of the Foreclosure Mediation Program for CMS. She has taught communication and conflict resolution classes for over 20 years in corporate, government and nonprofit organizations. In addition to her work with CMS, she also teaches classes in the adult degree program at Warner Pacific College in conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and ethics. Victoria has a B.S. in chemistry from Tulane University and an MPH in public health education from UC Berkeley. She believes that effective conflict management begins within, and that kind laughter helps in almost every situation.
