Farm Boy
This is the West Coast premiere of "Farm Boy," Michael Morpurgo's sequel to his acclaimed "War Horse."
"Farm Boy," set in Devon, England, of the late 1970s, centers on the relationship between Grandfather (the son of "War Horse" hero Albert) and his Grandson, recently returned from studying abroad.
With WWI more than 60 years in the past, Grandfather must adapt to the ever-changing face of the English Countryside. Where Joey the "War Horse" once plowed the fields, farm machinery has long ruled the day.
"Farm Boy" is a timeless classic, with deeply moving performances from Lawrence Pressman as Grandfather and Simon Lees as Grandson.
This production of "Farm Boy" is superbly directed by David Fofi, hailed as "one of L.A.'s best directors" by the Los Angeles TImes.
