Summer Kick-off Concert at Bloedel Reserve
Join us for Bloedel Reserve's Summer Kick-off Concert featuring two acts: Ethan J Perry & The Remedy Band and Duke Evers!
Enjoy fresh air and the beautiful natural setting of Bloedel, while listening to the vibrant sounds of live music from two fantastic Pacific Northwest bands. Make it a complete night and pack yourself a picnic dinner. (Beer and wine available for purchase.)
Ethan J Perry & The Remedy Band are a Seattle-based band. They self describe their music as Americana Indie Technicolor Jazz. Jaimie Hawkins, an independent music reviewer, said of their music, "[;;It's like];; riding a horse through a desert in space." And Rachael Perrell of the Levee Breaking writes, "Its honest. Its the super long drive home to visit, remembering the dog you grew up with, and maybe even quietly missing a long put out relationship."
Duke Evers is a three-piece thunder-rock band from Seattle. The band has been around for four years, just long enough to figure out that it has two kinds of fans: Those that are totally loyal after had their faces melted with blistering licks and those that haven't heard the band yet. Its the bands goal to convert the latter into the former. The sound is the key; its loud while still being dynamic. Its kinetic, and its conveys import without any grandstanding or ego. Within it are traces of 80s-style art rock, reminders of 90s-style indie-rock faves, and even some late-70s style guitar-driven power-pop.
Doors at 6 p.m. with music to begin soon after. Please bring lawn chairs / blanket for seating.
