Francesca Amari in It's Hip To Be Square: Guilty Pleasure Songs
Ms. Amari has been performing since 2007 and is one of the most popular singers in the desert and may be seen weekly at a number of local venues. Originally from Michigan, Ms. Amari moved to Palm Springs in 2010 and immediately took off and is in great demand for her singing and acting. A few months ago she got great review starring in Anything Goes, presented by the Palm Canyon Theatre, in the role of Reno Sweeny. Its Hip To Be Square is full of songs that have flooding the airwaves over the years which lyrics and melodies that you cant help but sing along with so be ready. Pianist and musical director Wayne Abravanel is a New York transplant who conducted or played in dozens of Broadway musicals and touring companies. He teaches Fine Arts at Coachella Valley High School, and is accompanist to many local singers weekly for Cabaret On The Green Open Mic at AJs On The Green in Cathedral City, hosted by Les Michaels, who produces the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series.
