An evening with Julianne Johnson and the PCC Choir
Join Julianne Johnson and the Portland Community College Choir as they perform to raise money for their 2016 & 2017 concert tour.
Julianne Johnson is a film/stage actress, songstress extraordinaire, Director of Vocal Music at Portland Community College, and Associate Artistic Director of Stumptown Stages Musical Theatre Company. A two-time 2008 Grammy-nominated artist, she was nominated in the category of Best Contemporary Gospel for the CD and its title song Heavenly Brother: Northwest Gospel Project. The CD was nominated for Best Album, Best Song and Best Art Work.
The PCC Music Program offers a vibrant, creative, highly informative environment that prepares students for transfer to four-year institutions as music majors or minors. Music coursework focuses on developing the skills necessary to be a well-rounded musician in todays world. Their curriculum includes the development of aural skills, the study of music theory, piano keyboard proficiency, and applied instrumental or vocal performance - both as soloists and within ensembles
