The Petticoat Duel

Over the years, men have fought countless duels over insults to a lady's honour. But not this time. An offense has been committed, a challenge issued, a time and place settled; all that remains now is the duel itself, but this time the ladies will take mattersand swordsinto their own hands. Will they fight to the death? Perhaps. Perhaps not, but either way there is more at play here than meets the eye! On Thursday evenings, join us for an exciting, immersive night of live theatre, and help Sergeant Bellefond piece together the clues to solve the case in the brand new Louisbourg Murder Mystery: The Petticoat Duel!

When an argument between two wealthy ladies gets out of hand, they decide to settle the matter themselves--with swords. In the 18th century, even an insult could prove fatal.

Rendezvous at entrance 2 (follow signs).
Doors open at 6:30pm; show starts at 7:00pm.
Wear comfy footwear and warm clothes.

All daytime visitors to Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site will clear site at 5pm (including those holding tickets to evening events).
